MANUFACTURING

Overview

150+ presses. Five paint lines. Eight metallization lines. In-house assembly. Four certified plants across the Great Lakes, running production for transportation, professional infrastructure, medical, and defense programs today.

PROCESS CATEGORY

Injection molding

Standard injection molding
150+ presses from 25 to 3,000 tons across four plants. High-cavitation small parts through large structural components.

BMC thermoset composites
Fiber-reinforced compounds for parts facing heat, vibration, and corrosion. Headlight brackets, under-hood housings, structural substrates.

MuCell microcellular foaming & glass-filled nylon
Lightweight structural parts. MuCell displaces resin with nitrogen for weight reduction; glass-filled nylon adds rigidity and thermal stability. Proven in suspension, powertrain, and structural housings.

Large-format molding
High-tonnage presses for oversized single-shot components up to 12+ pounds. Intake manifolds, engine housings, seven-foot rail caps, all produced without secondary bonding or multi-piece compromise.

In-house tooling engineers spec, source, and maintain molds through the full life of every program, supported by a deep local toolmaker network.

The foundation of everything we build. From commodity resins to engineering-grade materials, including glass-filled nylons, thermoset BMC, and optical-grade polycarbonate and acrylic, selected based on the performance, cosmetic, and application requirements of each program.

Clear lenses & hard coats
Dedicated tooling for optical-grade lens molding in PC and PMMA. Clear, red, amber, and smoked variants with in-house hard coat and anti-fog treatments for headlamp and lighting applications.

PVD / vacuum metallization
Chrome-like finish without hexavalent chromium. Eight fully automated lines producing durable, reflective surfaces for exterior trim, lighting reflectors, badges, and interior accents.

Soft-touch coating
Multi-layer base and clear coat systems for a tactile, premium feel on dashboards, door inserts, console trim, and other high-touch interior surfaces.

Piano black
Ultra-high-gloss finish built through repeated layering and polishing. Targets 90+ gloss and tight DOI for door cards, switch bezels, and center console accents.

Hard coat & anti-fog
Hard coat and anti-fog. Scratch-resistant and fog-free surface treatments for clear lens applications, primarily automotive headlamps.

Assembly & Testing

Finished components move directly into assembly without leaving the plant. We build custom fixtures in-house, run multi-component assembly lines, and kit parts for just-in-time delivery.

This eliminates the handling, transit, and coordination costs of outsourcing post-mold operations and keeps quality control in our hands from first shot to final shipment.
